USPP releases body worn camera footage from March 2023 officer involved shooting

The United States Park Police (USPP) has released body worn camera footage from a March 18, 2023 officer involved shooting in Washington, D.C. The below community briefing video shows the significant sections of the body worn camera footage from the two involved USPP officers and is intended to help members of the community gain a better understanding of what occurred. 

This incident is still under investigation, and all statements in this briefing are based on the details we know at this point. We are committed to being transparent with our community, and it’s our priority to release this information and inform our community as soon as possible. For privacy purposes, we have concealed audio and images of the individuals captured in this video.  

A word of caution: this video of an officer involved shooting contains graphic content and strong language. Viewer discretion is advised.
