The Kennett Underground Railroad Center is a non-profit organization focusing on educating the public through its learning center, exhibits, the Kennett URR Heritage Trail Tour, dramas and lectures, and education/outreach programs. KURC also helps to preserve our historical buildings and sites by applying for National Registry status or assisting property owners to do so. The Kennett Underground Railroad Center documents over two dozen underground railroad sites or "stations" within an eight-mile radius of Kennett Square. Our children will benefit from understanding the values and committments held by those great heroes who comprised the underground railroad and who, by their acts and beliefs, changed the course of this nation's history forver. Through the "Kennett UGRR Heritage Tour," and expansion of our educational cultural center, museum, and programs, we will enrich our community and learn from our extraordinary past.
