An Evening with the Slave Dwelling Project

Spend the night at the Hampton Plantation State Historic Site in McClellville, SC, with Joe McGill, founder of the Slave Dwelling Project.This event will take place on Saturday, February 24, from 5:00pm to 8:00am, at the Hampton Plantation, 1950 Rutledge Rd. McClellanville, SC 29458. There will be unscripted discussions with professionals from the Slave Dwelling Project around the fire to reflect on the contributions of African Americans to the plantation. The cost is $50. This includes a catered BBQ dinner, ticket to the African American Heritage Day on February 24 and a reserved space for the overnight program. Participates are required to bring all necesary camping equipment (tents, chairs, extra snacks and non-alcoholic drinks) Space is limited.
