Spectrogram of a siren
Spectrogram of a siren. Spectrograms are graphs that visualize sounds. The brightness of the colors shows sounds’ amplitude (loudness) across different frequencies (pitches), shown from bottom to top, and over time, from left to right. The rising and falling frequencies of the siren are readily visible in this image, with the sound getting louder as the vehicle passes the recording device.
