Stones River National Battlefield preserves the site of one of the most important battles of the American Civil War. The park offers a variety of resources and stories to meet the curriculum needs of teachers and students.
At this time we are unable to provide guided field trip experiences. However, school groups are welcome to explore the battlefield through self-guided experiences, including the Junior Ranger program and the visitor center museum. We are also developing additional tools and materials to help teachers plan meaningful, self-directed visits - these will be posted soon.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, school groups must make a reservation in advance. Group reservations are limited to no more than 50 students.
To request a self-guided field trip or if you have any questions, please contact us by email.
