Scouting at the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail

A major part of the Civil Rights Movement, the Selma to Montgomery Voting Rights March inspired millions and influenced the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Scouts can learn about the march, groups, and individuals involved by visiting our Interpretive Centers in Selma, Lowndes, and Montgomery. Through visiting and speaking with our rangers on site, Scouts can also work towards fulfilling badge requirements or awards.
