All prospective employees of the National Park Service can search for federal job listings and apply online using USAJOBS.gov.
The Trail employs both Park Guides and Park Rangers (Interpretation) to provide visitor services. Most are permanent employees, however, seasonal positions may be offered. These interpretive rangers are paid according to the federal General Service (GS) scale, beginning at GS-5 at the entry-level and reaching GS-9, dependent on time in service. Government housing is not offered at this time. Wearing the NPS uniform is required, and a uniform allowance is provided.
Management, administrative, and maintenance positions may also be offered periodically.
No jobs at the Trail are available to the general public at this time, but interested candidates are encouraged to contact the park with any questions and continue to check USAJOBS.gov. Similar parks and other land management agencies may be hiring.
