SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS, CALIFORNIA—The National Park Service has issued a prospectus soliciting proposals in response to a business opportunity to operate overnight accommodations, food and beverage, retail, and other related services within Sequoia National Park. The new concession contract for the park’s primary concession operation is scheduled to begin on November 1, 2016, and will be issued for a term of 10 years. Anticipated gross receipts in the first year of the contract are projected to range between $9.8 and $11.5 million, with a minimum franchise fee of 3.8% of gross receipts paid to the government.
