By CarFrom the Black Hills and points northTake SD Highway 71 south out of Hot Springs, SD. At the state line it becomes NE Highway 71. Continue south on NE Highway 71 for approximately 108 miles. Take the NE Highway 92 exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn LEFT on Highway 92 and follow it west through the town of Gering for 4 miles to the monument. From Omaha and points eastFollow Interstate 80 west to exit 126 at Ogallala (US-26). Follow US-26 west for approximately 102 miles. At the intersection with NE Highway 92 (near Chimney Rock) continue straight on NE Highway 92. Follow this road west, passing through the town of Gering, for approximately 21 miles to the monument. From Cheyenne, Wyoming and Colorado's Front RangeFollow Interstate 25 north through Cheyenne. Take exit 17 for US Highway 85 north. Take US Highway 85 north for approximately 51 miles. Turn RIGHT onto WY Highway 151. Take WY Highway 151 east through the town of LaGrange and to the Nebraska state border. At the border this road becomes NE Highway 88. Continue east on NE Highway 88 for 19 miles. At the intersection with NE Highway 71 turn LEFT. Follow NE Highway 71 north for approximately 11 miles to the Gering exit. Follow this county road (Five Rocks Road) 2.2 miles north to a four-way stop. Turn LEFT onto Old Oregon Trail and follow this road about one mile west to the monument. From Fort Laramie and points westFollow US 26 east for approximately 35 miles to the town of Morrill, Nebraska. Turn RIGHT onto NE Highway 79D Link. Follow this road south for 6.4 miles to NE Highway 92. Turn LEFT onto NE Highway 92. Follow this road east for 10 miles to Old Oregon Trail. Turn RIGHT onto Old Oregon Trail and follow this road south for 3.2 miles to the monument. By Public TransitScotts Bluff County is served by the Tri-City Roadrunner bus service. Tri-City Roadrunner provides curb-to-curb demand response service within Scotts Bluff County. The demand response service is available from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
