Scotts Bluff National Monument to Transition to Fall/Winter Hours

With school back in session and summer staff leaving soon, Scotts Bluff National Monument will transition our operating hours for the Visitor Center and Summit Road. Starting Monday, September 2nd Scotts Bluff National Monument will operate under our Fall/Winter/Spring hours through late May 2025. This means that the Monument Visitor Center will be open every day from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The Summit Road will open to motorized vehicles (weather permitting) at 9 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. All vehicles must be down off the road by 4:30 p.m. Pedestrians and cyclists are permitted to use the Summit Road when it is closed to motorized vehicles. Park grounds and trails are accessible from sunrise to sunset.

Scotts Bluff National Monument is open daily, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
