Join Park Ranger Matt Salomon for a FREE program on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 in the Scotts Bluff National Monument Visitor Center Theater. Ranger Salomon will discuss how volcanoes and fossils tell hidden stories of the monument’s past. He will dig into the geology of the monument and look at the stories the rock layers have to tell, then will look at fossils of ancient animals who inhabited the area. Finally, he will examine the story behind a very old archaeological discovery from the early 1900’s: the Bisterfeldt Potato Cellar Discovery.
