From the Mountains to the City

Ranger teaching students about birds

Join rangers at the Audubon Center at Debs Park, a natural jewel in the heart of Los Angeles. The center has inspired a love of nature and is home to over 140 species of birds, including American Kestrels, Great-horned Owls, Northern Flickers and Yellow-Rumped Warbler!

Students will have the opportunity to explore the ecosystems found at the Audubon Center at Debs Park. Through this program, students will learn how parks, like Debs, are islands of habitat within Los Angeles being used actively by flora and fauna. Students will develop an understanding of how restoration practices can help create healthy habitats and its impact on the local fauna.

*Offered Wednesdays and Fridays.
