Access to the Theodore Roosevelt Home is by guided tour only and tickets must be purchased in advance online at recreation.gov or by calling call (877) 444-6777. Tours are approximately 45 minutes long with time spent indoors and outdoors. Tickets cannot be purchased at Sagamore Hill.
Tours of the home are available on a Thursday through Sunday schedule. The daily frequency of tours varies based on the season and staffing levels. All tour tickets must be purchased in advance on Recreation.gov. The Roosevelt Home is closed Monday-Wednesday.
Child & Interagency Pass Tickets
Children 15 and under do not have to pay admission, but still require a ticket. Children must be accompanied by an adult during tours. Those in possession of an interagency pass, also known as a senior pass, access pass, annual pass, or national park pass, are eligible for 4 free tickets including the passholder.
Advanced tickets for children or interagency pass holders must be purchased on the recreation.gov website by selecting “Child” or “Interagency Pass” instead of “Adult” from the drop down menu. Pass holders will be asked to present their pass with photo ID upon arrival to the park. All types of tickets are subject to a $1.00 service charge.
Meeting Your Tour Guide
Tour-goers should meet their guide at the front door of the Roosevelt Home at their scheduled tour time. Tours will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Please have your email confirmation from Recreation.gov to show your tour guide. Visitors who arrive late will not be admitted to the Roosevelt Home.
Please dress according to the weather, as a portion of the tour will take place outdoors. Tours will take place rain or shine and in cold weather.
