Purchasing TicketsAll tickets must be purchased in advance on recreation.gov. No tickets can be purchased at Sagamore Hill. Visit Recreation.gov or call (877) 444-6777 to purchase tickets. Due to occupancy restrictions, tickets are limited and may sell out quickly.
Note: Tours of the Roosevelt Home are currently modified to meet COVID-19 safety requirements. Tours are limited to small groups no larger than six persons and limited to the first floor only. Tours will be about 30 total minutes in length, with about 20 minutes held outdoors and no longer than 10 minutes held indoors.
All individuals over the age of two years must wear masks, regardless of vaccination status, while inside the Theodore Roosevelt Home. Individuals will not be permitted to enter or remain in the Theodore Roosevelt Home without a mask. Additional information on public health safety requirements is listed below.
Child & Interagency Pass Tickets
Children 15 and under do not have to pay admission, but still require a ticket. Children must be accompanied by an adult during tours.
Those in possession of an interagency pass, also known as a senior pass, access pass, annual pass, or national park pass, are eligible for 4 free tickets including the passholder.
Advanced tickets for children or interagency pass holders must be purchased on the recreation.gov website by selecting “Child” or “Interagency Pass” instead of “Adult” from the drop down menu. Pass holders will be asked to present their pass with photo ID upon arrival to the park. All types of tickets are subject to a $1.00 service charge.
Tours will not exceed six persons due to COVID restrictions. Please plan your reservations accordingly.
Checking in Before Your Tour
Upon arrival at Sagamore Hill, check in with the park ranger at the outdoor contact station adjacent to the parking lot. Parties will have to provide the name on their reservation and will be asked to show an email confirmation from recreation.gov. Parties will be given colored metal tabs that will serve as tickets for their tour and these tabs will be checked at the Roosevelt Home by the tour guide. Guides will not admit any parties without tabs into the Roosevelt Home. Please Note: Check-in is required at least 30 minutes prior to the time of your reservation.
Checking in During Inclement Weather
During inclement weather, tour goers should head directly to the Roosevelt Home. Follow signs from the parking lot and walk around the home to reach the front door. Please have a confirmation from Recreation.gov available to show your tour guide. The outdoor portion of the tour will take place under a covered porch.
