In 2022, Sagamore Hill National Historic Site sent 12 volumes of the Works of Abraham Lincoln to the Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) for evaluation and conservation treatment. Virtual Tour and Digital Collections

Be an armchair explorer! Visit Sagamore Hill NHS virtually through Google Arts & Culture using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. We’ve partnered up with Google Cultural Institute to let you explore the Theodore Roosevelt home and artifacts. As part of Google Art & Culture’s President’s Day collection, streetview tours of the house and grounds, a virtual tour of the Theodore Roosevelt home, and 7 additional exhibits let you step “behind the barriers” to get a closer look.

Digital Presidential Library

Did you know that Theodore Roosevelt was President before there was such a thing as a “Presidential Library?” In fact, his fifth cousin Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the first President to have a Presidential Library.

Dickinson State University has developed the Theodore Roosevelt Center, a virtual presidential library featuring collections from around the world, including Sagamore Hill. Visit the Theodore Roosevelt Center to explore highlights from the archival collection at Sagamore Hill.

Google Arts & Culture

Bison Virtual Exhibit

Visit the Department of Interior’s virtual exhibit “The American Bison: A National Symbol,” to learn more about the American Bison, our national mammal. Sagamore Hill contributed two objects to this exhibit – a map of bison grazing zones, circa 1899, and a bronze Bison by Tiffany.

Wallpaper Conservation

Thanks to the skill and hard work of the staff at the Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC), the original 1904 wallpaper in the North Room of the Theodore Roosevelt home was restored and rehung in 2015, part of a 3 year rehabilitation project.
