The Friends of Sagamore Hill is a heritage minded group of citizens who joined together to perpetuate Theodore Roosevelt's legacy and who forged a partnership with Sagamore Hill National Historic Site to preserve, restore, enhance and protect his historically significant home in Oyster Bay, NY. It is a non-profit, non-political, tax exempt organization.
Our Friends were the first National Park Service charter organization to receive the TAKE PRIDE IN AMERICA award. Former NPS Director Fran Mainella presented the award on the Sagamore Hill piazza on June 22, 2003.
