Your field trip to Saguaro National Park has been confirmed!Review all sections for accuracy. This information is important and must be followed to ensure a timely and safe field trip. Your responsibilities are:
Health and SafetyWe will remain as flexible as possible regarding public health guidelines from Pima County, AZDHS, the CDC and any federal mandates. Any changes may result in the suspension of in-person services without advanced notification. We will do our best to reschedule or provide alternative opportunities. TransportationThe subsidy provided by the Friends of Saguaro National Park covers the cost of 1 district owned bus, up to $250. If transportation requires more than 1 bus to accommodate your students, please let us know. AccommodationsIf you have students who need accommodations, please let us know so we can make arrangements. Physical accessibility is limited both at Signal Hill and the Overlook, but we can be creative! ChaperonesWe require a minimum of at least one adult chaperone per 10 students or one for each small group (usually 4). Got extra parents who want to join the fun? Great! The optimal chaperone to student ratio is about 1:6 but if you have a wealth of enthusiastic parents, just let us know in advance. We will put them to work, modelling engaged listening and helping with activities! Chaperones will also be responsible for accompanying students to the bathroom and helping monitor behavior during the program and lunch. Please be sure that chaperones understand their duties and are aware of the field trip requirements by providing our guidelines. WeatherGenerally, we offer programs rain or shine but if weather is going to pose a safety hazard, you will be notified before leaving the school. Cancellation and/or ChangesIt may not be possible to add an additional program or change a date as availability is limited. Please notify us immediately if you need to cancel or request any changes. That consideration will allow another class to fill your vacancy. Contact us at 520-733-5157 or email e-mail us Directions for Field Trip Locations
