Spring 2026 field trip calendar is currently full.

If you'd like to bring Saguaro National Park to your classroom this year, please consider booking a Classroom Program or a Virtual Visit.

We will begin booking the fall calendar starting in August.

Request a Ranger-Guided Field Trip at Saguaro National Park

When To Request a Field Trip

• Tuesday - Friday
• Start time: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (A snack break is recommended for late-starting programs!)
• Duration: 2 - 2 1/2 hours (Schools are welcome to picnic and enjoy the park for as long as they wish afterward.)

Programs offered on the EAST district:

• Pollinators and You (K-2, 30 students max)
• Where is the Water (2-3rd grade, 30 students max)
• Experimental Archeology (3-5th grade, 30 students max)
• Geology Mystery (4-5th grade, 30 students max)

Programs offered on the WEST district:

• Sonoran Desert Superpowers (K-1, 60 students max)
• Field Studies (2-3rd grade, 60 students max)
• People of the Desert (3-5th grade, 60 students max)
• Saguaro By the Numbers (5-6th grade, 60 students max)
• Lost Carnivores (6-8th grade, 30 students max)
• Community Science (9-12th grade, 30 students max)

Processing Requests

Requests are processed in the order they are received. If none of your preferred or alternative dates are available, the Saguaro Education team will walk you through your other options. They may include different dates, different programs, teacher-guided field trips, classroom visits, or virtual programming.
