This free annual camping permit is required if you are planning to camp on the St. Croix River between Highway 8 and the Soo Line High Bridge and outside of state parks.
All other National Park Service campsites on the St. Croix and Namekagon rivers are first-come, first-served and do not require permits.
To apply for this permit:
Step 1: Print and complete the camping permit application. Use the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to download PDF files.
Step 2: Mail the application to the St. Croix River Visitor Center, 401 N. Hamilton St., St. Croix Falls, WI, 54024 or fax it to 715-483-3288. Please call (715) 483-2274 before faxing your application. A permit will be mailed to you.
Stop by the St. Croix River Visitor Center and complete the paperwork in person. Printed information about Camping on the Lower River is available online and at visitor centers.
