SAVE THE DATE: Rancho de las Cabras Tours in Floresville, Texas every first Saturday October 2021- March 2022


Beginning on October 2nd, 2021, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park will offer monthly ranger guided tours of Rancho de las Cabras. Guided programs through the UNESCO World Heritage Site will explore the stories, myths, and mysteries surrounding Rancho de las Cabras.

Tucked away in a protected prairie in Floresville, Texas are ruins belonging to one of the first ranches in Texas. This Spanish colonial ranch supported Mission Espada, the most southern San Antonio Mission. Rancho de las Cabras, just 22 miles south of Mission Espada had over 1,000 cattle and about 4,000 sheep roaming the fields more than 250 years ago. Rancho de las Cabras tours will be offered the first Saturday of each month, October 2021 – March 2022.
Reservations are required with limited availability. To reserve a spot please email saan_interpretation@nps.gov and include your name, email, phone number and # in party.

Rain or extreme weather may cancel programs.

The Rancho de las Cabras site is only accessible through guided programs.
