Wildflower Dreams

In the winter, more than 20 feet of snow covers Trail Ridge Road. Most Colorado residents welcome the snowfalls to provide the water to start refilling depleted reservoirs. Outdoor enthusiasts are thrilled with the cross-country skiing and snowshoeing available in the park because of the snow. Winter landscapes decorate the mountains with their unspeakable beauty.

Nevertheless, during the long winter, in our unguarded moments, some of us at the park occasionally find ourselves dreaming of the promise of spring and the wildflowers to come. Here are some pictures to remind us of the beauty of spring.
