Moraine Park Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park will be reopening with an initial limited release of dates over a two-week period. Beginning on Tuesday, July 8 at 8 a.m. Mountain Time, reservations will be available for Wednesday, July 9 through Tuesday, July 22. Reservations will be available through www.recreation.gov. Before additional dates are released, out of an abundance of caution, park staff and contractors will be testing the new water and wastewater systems to ensure they are working properly to keep up with expected demand. The Moraine Park Campground and Utility Rehabilitation Project is a critical infrastructure project that is improving water, wastewater and electrical distribution systems that serve not only Moraine Park Campground, but also Beaver Meadows Visitor Center and Rocky Mountain National Park’s headquarters area and many other critical park facilities.
