We offer two basic educational experiences - ranger guided field trips and self guided park visits. We also offer web-based distance learning programs. Educational groups coming to Rocky that are organized by an accredited educational institution, whether self guided or ranger guided, may qualify for a waiver of park entrance fees. Any group wishing to visit one of the park visitor centers must make a reservation through the Education and Outreach Office. If you do not have a reservation, your group may be turned away. Before making a reservation, please review the information for scheduling a self guided or ranger guided visit. Reservations are made on a first come first served basis. We recommend that you call at least three months in advance of your desired date for ranger-led programs. To schedule a program, please call 970-586-1338. Fee Waivers Fee waivers must be requested in writing, on the institution's letterhead at least two weeks prior to the visit. Include a statement about your group's educational objectives.
