Deadline extended for the Request for Proposals to lease Little House in Rock Creek Park

WASHINGTON — The National Park Service (NPS) is extending the deadline for proposals to lease Little House, a small but quaint single-family home, located at 3131 Nebraska Avenue NW in Rock Creek Park. Potential lessees are invited to submit proposals through Nov. 25, 2025.    

The NPS seeks proposals that explain how offerors would: 

• Use the property to enrich the local community.  

• Maintain and improve the leased premises. 

• Plan for the preservation and protection of the property. 

 
Rent offsets 

As part of this long-term leasing opportunity, the NPS may approve rent offsets for the lessee’s expenditures related to the maintenance backlog, initial improvements and future alterations of the property.  
 
Site visits 

Property tours are available by appointment Aug. 25 through Aug. 29 and Sept. 22 through Sept. 26, 2025. Please schedule at least two days in advance. Email us to schedule a site visit.
