Looking for a way to explore a national park? Visit Richmond National Battlefield Park on April 28, 2007 for the First Annual National Park Service Junior Ranger Day at the historic Tredegar Iron Works. Children will earn a certificate, Jr. Ranger patch and a button created especially for this exciting day when they participate in the day’s fun-filled events. Hands-on activities, crafts to make and take home, living history demonstrations and Ranger talks will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Other national parks are hosting activities as well with the hope of reaching 35,000 children and their families at over 100 parks.

National Junior Ranger Day is the culminating event of National Park Week and will coincide with the events of Richmond Civil War Day. Come join us and become a National Junior Ranger!
