Construction will start in some areas of Prince William Forest Park in spring 2021, but it will not affect most park visitors until summer.
After Memorial Day, work will begin in phases on park campground roads, the entrance road, Scenic Drive, and parking areas. We anticipate finishing the work in mid-October. Biking
Bicyclists should expect temporary road and lane closures on park roads. This means you may have to wait or turnaround if the area you want to travel is under construction. We will post construction information on this website, so please check before you visit. Driving Some parts of the park will temporarily close for repaving, patching or road sealing work. These areas will be closed to drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists.
