National Mule Day Celebration

Special Event
Have you HERD? October 26th is National Mule Day!
It's kind of a big deal around here, and we want you to come celebrate with us! Join us this weekend (October 26th and 27th) for special 'Meet the Mule' programs, activities, and more.
10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Stop by the mule pen to meet two of our four working mules.
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Be on the lookout for a park ranger and a mule to be walking the grounds and greeting visitors near the Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center.
11:00 - 3:00 pm: Write the mules a special note or make them a card to celebrate their big day.
The park's four mules - Dolly, Eva, Jen, and Julie - are important storytellers of the history of the C&O Canal and we can't wait to celebrate them and all the other working mules across the country.
Please note that all programs and activities may be altered or cancelled in the event of bad weather.

Participation in the event and activities is free. An entrance fee applies to enter the park.
