Located off Route 102 between Somesville and Seal Cove, Pretty Marsh Picnic Area provides a private place to enjoy a picnic and views of Acadia’s flora and fauna.
What to Expect
Three picnic sites are located right off the driveway into the Pretty Marsh area, the furthest being designated as an accessible picnic site. This site has one accessible parking space with a wheelchair accessible picnic table and a standing charcoal grill. This site is designated with a blue sign with a wheelchair symbol on it.Pretty Marsh has a small picnic pavilion, located in the woods, on the first left parking pull-off. This pavilion has uneven ground and steps leading to it and may be difficult to get to if a visitor cannot walk on uneven surfaces.
Other picnic sites have small fire pits or grills and are located right off the driveway.
There is a single occupant accessible pit toilet with an unpaved walkway to access it. There is no running water at this picnic area.
