The North Rim Service Station has closed for the season.
Limited fall day-use operations are in place on the North Rim, between October 15, and November 30, 2026 - unless the North Rim is closed by a major snow storm before November 30.
- The North Rim Campground, General Store and Backcountry Information Office have closed for the 2026 season.
- DRINKING WATER and FOOD are not available on the North Rim between October 16 and November 30, 2026. We encourage everyone planning a North Rim visit to check current conditions, carry adequate food, water, fuel, and emergency supplies, and use extra caution as winter weather arrives.
- Open all year, Jacob Lake, Arizona, on State Route 67 is located 31 miles (50 km) north of the park's entrance station. Jacob Lake is the closest location with fuel, lodging, a restaurant and groceries during the off-season.
North Rim - Current Status and Closures
North Rim Service Station
The only service station within park boundaries (on the North Rim) is located just after turning onto the entrance road for the campground. The General Store and the Campground Office Kiosk is nearby.
- The North Rim Campground was open through October 15, 2026. Reservations can be made through recreation.gov.
- The Laundry and Showers Building were not be in operation during 2026.
- The General Store (adjacent to the campground) closed for the season on October 15, 2026.
- During the winter months, the North Rim of the park and State Route 67, from Jacob Lake, Arizona, are closed to all vehicle traffic between December 1, and May 14.
