During the 2026 season, self-service gasoline and diesel fuel is available here, 24 hours, by debit or credit card.
Open daily, May 15 through September 7.
Visitors should plan ahead and be prepared for a more remote, limited-services experience this year as the park continues recovery and restoration efforts.
The 2026 season will focus primarily on day use and limited backcountry opportunities, with access to select scenic drives, viewpoints, and trails. Please note that potable water will not be available on the North Rim, so visitors should bring enough water and food for their visit.
North Rim Service Station
The only service station within park boundaries (on the North Rim) is located just after turning onto the entrance road for the campground. The General Store and the Campground Office Kiosk is nearby.
- At this time, there is no reopening date set for the North Rim Campground. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
- The Laundry and Showers Building will not be in operation during 2026.
- The General Store (adjacent to the campground): Is open daily from May 15 through September 7, from 9 am – 4 pm for dry goods and bottled water. The only place to purchase bottled water, within the park on the North Rim, will be at the General Store.
North Rim Service Stations - Outside the Park
During the season, from May 15 to October 15, gasoline and diesel fuel are also available just outside the park, on State Route 67, at the North Rim Country Store (on the opposite side of the SR 67 from Kaibab Lodge and DeMotte Campground), 5.5 miles (9 km) north of the North Rim Entrance Station.
Open all year, Jacob Lake, Arizona, on State Route 67 is located 31 miles (50 km) north of the park's entrance station. Jacob Lake is the closest location with fuel, lodging, a restaurant and groceries during the off-season.
- Between October 16, and November 30, when the North Rim of the park is open for day use only, and all visitor services have closed, fuel is still available at the North Rim Service Station by debit or credit card purchase, provided park roads are open.
- During the winter months, the North Rim of the park and State Route 67, from Jacob Lake, Arizona, are closed to all vehicle traffic between December 1, and May 14.
