During the 2026 North Rim season, the North Rim General Store (adjacent to the campground and Service Station) is open daily May 15, through September 7, from 9 am – 4 pm. Dry goods and bottled water are available.
Note: the only place to purchase bottled water, within the North Rim of the park, is here at the General Store.
Visitors to the North Rim should plan ahead and be prepared for a more remote experience this year, with limited services available as the park continues recovery and restoration work.
The 2026 season will focus mainly on day use and limited backcountry access, with some scenic drives, viewpoints, and trails open to visitors. Please keep in mind that potable water will not be available on the North Rim, so be sure to bring plenty of water and food for your visit.
The North Rim General Store, at the entrance to the North Rim Campground, had a counter that offered coffee and ice cream throughout the day, and quick breakfast items in the morning. They also had basic grocery items and a wide variety of snacks and trail mixes. There was a microwave to warm your food.
Camping supplies along with Grand Canyon souvenirs, were available here.
This was also the only building on Grand Canyon's North Rim that offered free Wi-Fi. Keep your expectations low: connectivity is slow, but adequate to check email.
