THANKSGIVING HOURS FOR PIPESTONE NATIONAL MONUMENT
Pipestone, MN:Superintendent Glen Livermont announced, "In observance of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, the Pipestone National Monument Visitor Center will be closed on Thursday, November 22th. The Visitor Center will re-open on Friday, November 23r."The Monument's Circle Trail will be open on Thanksgiving Day for those wanting to spend the afternoon enjoying a walk on the trail. The Visitor Center's winter hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the week including Saturday and Sunday.Admission to the park is $3.00 per person, and the receipt for admission can be used for one week from the date of purchase. There will be no charge for visitors who present an Interagency Annual Pass, an Interagency Senior (Golden Age) Pass, an InteragencyAccess Pass, or a Pipestone National Monument Annual Pass.If desired all passes are available at the Monument Visitor Center for purchase.For more information on the passes or to plan your visit, please call the Monument Visitor Center at 507-825-5464 extension 214 (or) www.nps.gov/pipe
The Pipestone Indian Shrine Association gift shop, located at the Visitor Center, will also be closed Thanksgiving Day. The staff at the Monument wish all a happy Thanksgiving holiday!
