Pipestone National Monument Presentation

Pipestone, MN: Glen Livermont, Superintendent, at Pipestone National Monument, announces a presentation "Discover Minnesota" at the Pipestone National Monument Visitor Center, Pipestone, Minnesota, on Thursday, April 24th, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Park Ranger, Cortney Adair, will take visitors on a voyage, through history, culture, and wildlife; with a presentation "The National Park Legacy in Minnesota", followed by a film which takes viewers on a visual exploration of the Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway. The riverway is one of eight original rivers designated by Congress when the National Wild & Scenic Rivers Program was established in 1968.

The Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway is a national treasure, which includes the upper 200 miles of river extending from its headwater source near Gordon, WI and along the Minnesota/Wisconsin border to Taylor's Falls, MN/St. Croix Falls, WI. It includes the Namekagon River in Wisconsin, the St. Croix's largest tributary.
