Ranger Rules B. = Bag Dog Waste Keep Petroglyph healthy and clean by collecting all dog waste. Do not throw dog bags into shrubs or cacti or hang them from the fence. Dispose of all dog waste bags in garbage cans. A. = Always Wear a Leash All dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet (2 m) to keep them safe from natural dangers, such as coyotes and rattlesnakes. A leash also keeps your dog from getting lost or accidentally scaring other people who may be afraid of dogs. Humans must always hold other end of leash. R. = Respect Wildlife Dogs can chase and threaten wildlife, scaring birds and other animals away from nesting, feeding, and resting sites. Please keep your dog at a respectful distance from any animals you may encounter. If your presence changes the behavior of any wild animal, you are too close. K. = Know Where You Can Go Rinconada Canyon, Piedras Marcadas Canyon, South Point Day Use Area, and the Escarpment Trail (for petroglyphs) and the Volcanoes Day Use Area (no petroglyphs). |
