Effective July 9, the National Park Service will temporarily suspend 56-day advance reservations for USS Arizona Memorial tours due to ongoing preservation work. This change affects advance reservations for tours starting on Sept. 3 and will continue until further notice. Reservations made for dates before Sept. 3, will be honored. Other tours on Recreation.gov, such as the Ford Island Tours, will not be affected.
Visitors arriving after Sept. 3 may still be able to tour the Arizona Memorial, but access will be on a first come, first served basis, or through the normal reservation process where reservations are released the day before.
Current and updated information about the status of advanced reservations will be provided on the Recreation.gov website, on the park’s website, and through social media.
In close coordination with the United States Navy, Pearl Harbor National Memorial is removing two World War II era salvage platforms attached to the USS Arizona.
During certain periods of the removal operation, it will not be safe for visitors to be on the memorial or to arrive by boat. To prioritize visitor safety and prevent last-minute cancellations, advance ticket releases will be halted until further notice. Staff will evaluate the timeline for resuming USS Arizona Memorial advanced reservations based on the completion of the salvage platform removal.
This announcement does not affect any existing reservations, and no reservations have been cancelled as a result of this operation.
