The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and National Park Service (NPS) are initiating an effort to address fire, fuels, and vegetation management on 356,820 acres of the Shivwits Plateau of the Grand Canyon - Parashant National Monument on the Arizona Strip, north of the Grand Canyon. The completed plan will develop specific actions to achieve land health conditions and goals identified in the Grand Canyon - Parashant National Monument Resourse Management Plan/General Management Plan completed in 2008.
