A Permit is Required for all Commercial Activities

Special Recreation Permit (SRP)

An SRP is required for for all commerical activities on land managed by the Bureau of Land Management.

If you wish to apply for a Special Recreation Permit, please complete the following steps:

  • Create a Recreation and Permit Tracking Online Reporting (RAPTOR) account, or use your existing RAPTOR account.
  • Click on the "Request a Recreation Pre-Application Meeting" button and submit the form.
  • Have a pre-application meeting with the local permit administrator (in person, by phone or email), and gain access to the online application form.
  • Complete and submit your application.
  • The Bureau of Land Management will receive your application and work with you during the Special Recreation Permit (SRP) process.

Commercial Use Authorization (CUA)

A CUA is required for all commerical activities on land managed by the National Park Service. To obtain a CUA for Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, please contact our Outdoor Recreation Planner at (435) 688-3386.
Note: Hunting licenses and Off-Road Vehicle licenses are subject to Arizona state regulations.

 

Scientific Research and Collecting Permits

A research permit is required for all activities that involve fieldwork, specimen collection, and/or have the potential to disturb resources or visitors, pertaining to natural resources or social science studies conducted within Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument. Permits are required for all social science surveys, monitoring, collecting activities, and for traditional hypothesis-driven research.

This federal interagency office is staffed by employees from the National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S National Forest Service, and by dedicated volunteers from the local community. Phones are answered Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The visitor center is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and all federal holidays.
