EMINENCE, Mo. – Ozark National Scenic Riverways in partnership with the Shannon County Museum Association, Ozark Riverways Foundation, Ozark Heritage Project, and the Dent County Historical Society will host a historical reunion at Two Rivers Campground on Sunday, September 26, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. All are invited to attend this free event.

The junction at Two Rivers was historically a vibrant community and intersection of activity for the Jacks Fork River and Current River valleys. A vitally important river ferry allowed passage back and forth across the Current River into Blair Creek country. Come hear more about this historically important river community from current and former residents and families of the Two Rivers, Shawnee Creek and Blair Creek areas.

Be sure to pack a picnic basket and your lawn chairs for the evening. Enjoy visiting with the local historical societies at information booths starting at 5 p.m.  Listen to special presentations about nearby Colley Lake, historic river ferries, and early residents of the area starting at 5:30 p.m. At 7 p.m. break out your picnic basket and listen to live music on the banks of Current River while watching gigging boats in action as the sun goes down. The event will end at 8 p.m. but several first-come, first-served campsites await those wishing to camp at Two Rivers.

Ozark National Scenic Riverways follows the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and any corresponding federal mandates in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
