News Release Date: January 7, 2014 Ozark Riverways Postpones Public Meetings VAN BUREN MO:Acting Superintendent Russell Runge announced today that the public meetings for the Draft General Management Plan have been postponed due to the recent winter storm and poor condition of many roads in southeastern Missouri.States Runge, "After much consideration we feel it is prudent to postpone the meetings for the safety of the public and our staff." The public meetings will be rescheduled as soon as possible and that information will be shared when it becomes available. The Draft Plan may be reviewed online at www.parkplanning.nps.gov/ozar.Comments may also be submitted on this website.The public comment period for the Draft Plan runs through February 7, 2014.We look forward to hearing from the public and encourage all to visit the park's website at www.nps.gov/ozar or our Facebook page for further updates.For more information, please contact Dena Matteson at (573) 323-8028 or e-mail us.
