Celebrate a Haunted Night at Alley Spring on October 12
EMINENCE, MO: Ozark National Scenic Riverways will bring spirits of the past to life through storytelling and skits during a Haunted Night at Alley Spring on October 12 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Illuminated pathways will guide your way through Ozark legends, folktales, mysteries, superstitions, and natural wonders with spellbinding, age-old storytelling. All storytelling sessions will run concurrently and will repeat every 30 minutes so that visitors can attend sessions in any order they choose. Several talented, well-known storytellers will be featured at the event. Tales and legends include:
·Native American Legends and Lore by storyteller Diane Moran
·Tales from the Past by storyteller Denise Grow
·True Tales of the Haunted Ozarks by author and radio personality Marideth Sisco
·Sheriff Deatherage and the Baker Hanging by Eric Mansfield
·Civil War Struggles by David “Doc” Nappier
·The Curse of Healing Spring skit featuring Eminence High School Drama Club
·Search for the Ozark Karkaghne Monster: A Hike to Find the Lurking Beast
A food vendor will be on site selling drinks and snacks for the evening. Visitors are encouraged to bring along flashlights and folding lawn chairs.
