Entrance Permit:Visitors are required to obtain an entrance permit when visiting Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. The permit can be purchased at the Kris Eggle Visitor Center or can be obtained from the self-registration kiosks along the scenic drives. All interagency passes are accepted.
Camping:Permits are required for overnight camping at Twin Peaks Campground, Alamo Primitive Campground and for backcountry camping.
Permits for Alamo Canyon Primitive Campground are available at the self-registration station at the campground. Backcountry permits can only be obtained in person at the Kris Eggle Visitor Center.
Twin Peaks Campground now requires advanced reservations Same Day Reservations can be made online (www.recreation.gov) or by phone (877-444-6777). It is possible to make same day reservations using the free WiFi at the at the Kris Eggle Visitor Center. You may also book reservations up to 6 months in advance. Group sites are available year-round by reservation
Still Photography Permit: Permits are required for any still photography when they involve props, models, professional crews and casts or set dressings. Be aware that 95% of our monument is designated Wilderness, which provides several restrictions photography. You must submit permit at least 10 business days in advance, or 20 business days in advance if planning on photographing in Wilderness area.
Special Use Permit: Special Use Permits are required for nontraditional or unusual uses and activities, such as weddings or special events. Climbing Permit: Please fill out a climbing permit and email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are planning on climbing Montezuma's Head or any other technical routes in the park.
Camping: Reservations for Twin Peaks Campground are required year round. Reservations can be made at Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
Group Camping: Camping reservations can be made at Recreation.gov. Please call the Kris Eggle Visitor Center, (520) - 387-6849 for more information.
Ranger-led Programs: Certain ranger-led programs require reservations during the winter months. Inquire at the Kris Eggle Visitor Center, (520) - 387-6849.
