Planning Documents

  • Foundation Document - Completed in 2016, the Foundation Document highlights the importance of the monument while identifying management goals and potential issues facing the monument.

  • Superintendent's Compendium - The Superintendent's Compendium is a document that describes specific policies and laws related to public use in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

  • General Management Plan - This document set's the long term goals for managing the monument.

  • Report on Natural Resources Vital Signs - This document focuses on the unique and varied natural resources and their status. It provides information on the status and trends of ecosystem drivers, landscape scale indicators, rare and sensitive species, stressors, and other focal resources. In doing so, it provides a deeper understanding of diverse monument resources and processes which in turn helps us in our efforts to conserve this beautiful Sonoran Desert park.
