The National Park Service (NPS) is excited to announce that the Concessioner Zero Waste Planning Tool (ZWPT) is now available for use by NPS concessioners, particularly Category I and Category II contracts.
The ZWPT is an interactive and user-friendly tool developed by the NPS to provide concessioners with a way to both qualitatively and quantitatively assess current waste managed within their operations. The tool helps analyze current waste management practices and materials, and will help concessioners identify best management practice opportunities and provide alternatives to current disposal methods. The tool may be a valuable addition to concessioner environmental management programs.
