Explore the Memorial through photographs, videos, and podcasts. The wealth of stories that surround the Memorial is awe inspiring. The 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building is a complex tale that deeply touched the country and the world. Visiting the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial and Museum assists learners in making a deeper connection to this event and the important place it holds in American history. Multiple ways to experience the Memorial are available, including scheduling a guided walk/talk with a Park Ranger, touring the Memorial Museum, the S.T.E.M. lab, and curriculum based lesson plans. There are a wide variety of activates that are available for youth to participate in as they explore the Memorial and other National Park Sites. This unique site is a partnership between a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum Foundation and the National Park Service. The two entities work together to communicate this important part of history with the world. |
