Adaptive Outdoor Rock-Climbing Program, September 27

WARTBURG, Tennessee - An adaptive climbing program is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (ET). The program is designed for people with an amputation or limb difference, with the goal of improving accessibility to climbing for visitors with mobility challenges.

Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. To register or learn more, call Obed Visitor Center at 423-346-6294. This free program requires no prior climbing experience. All climbing equipment will be provided, and trained staff and volunteers will be on hand to support participants throughout the day.

This program is made possible with grant funds from the National Park Foundation’s Park Ventures Program and with the support of Paradox Sports, a non-profit provider of adaptive climbing programs.

By offering programs like adaptive climbing, Obed Wild and Scenic River continues its commitment to expanding access to outdoor recreation. This event gives participants the chance to try climbing in a supportive environment and experience the excitement of reaching new heights.
