With our Ranger Roundup Series we will be interviewing park rangers from the national parks found in the New York/New Jersey Harbor area, to learn more about why they find these sites to be so special.

This site has a visitor's center and an outdoor monument that displays and discusses the story of slavery in the North, particularly its impact on New York. The monument is located on the corner of Elk and Duane streets, and the Visitor Center is located just around the corner on Broadway.

  Ranger Roundup - Hamilton Grange

  In this edition of the Ranger Roundup we visit Hamilton Grange National Memorial with Ranger Callie. Alexander Hamilton's home is unique in its history with the entire house having been moved twice in Harlem. What once served as a home, a church, and today a museum and monument, rests at the edge of St. Nicholas Park and boasts beautiful gardens that Hamilton himself designed
