The North Country NST is administered by the National Park Service in cooperation with other Federal, State, and local agencies, private organizations and landowners who host, develop, or maintain portions of the trail.
The National Park Service maintains this site to provide information and guidance to those individuals and organizations wishing to know more about their role in building and caring for the North Country Trail. Here you will find various documents providing guidance on aspects of trail design, wayfinding, media products, events and trainings.
The majority of the work is performed by volunteers managed through the North Country Trail Association (NCTA). Please contact NCTA or your nearby chapter to get involved. Thank you.
