The Rainbow Bridge Fire, located within the Stehekin Valley of Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, was reported July 29, 2010. The fire has been burning in extremely steep terrain in the Rainbow Creek and Boulder Creek drainages approximately three miles up-valley from Stehekin Landing. NPS staff have determined the cause of the fire to be from a lightning strike.



Currently, there is very little fire activity. All services in Stehekin are open and running on schedule.
