Ninety Six is a special place, a monument to the people who lived, fought, and died here. Some of the historic structures you will see are fragile and so are you! Please keep yourself and these structures from being injured.
Climbing is unsafe and can damage something that cannot be replaced, including you. Stay on designated pathways and refrain from climbing or walking on the earthworks.
Watch your step. Many of the surfaces on the walking paths or around the historic structures may be uneven or slippery, especially in the rain or snow.
As part of the National Park System, everything here is protected. Don’t remove or disturb any part of the historic structures. Metal detecting or digging for artifacts is strictly prohibited.
Collection or damage to plants, wildlife, or rocks is also prohibited.
Some areas are closed with ropes and other barriers. Crossing them puts you at risk of serious injury.
All pets must be leashed and under the owners phyiscal control.
Use insect repellent in the warmer months.
Watch out for fire ant mounds, poison ivy, ticks, and snakes.
Summer here is hot and humid, so drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks out of the sun.
