Hosts Veteran Job Fairs

 

Gaffney, SC – The Southern Campaign for the American Revolution Parks Group will host three veteran job fairs for several open seasonal positions. In keeping with the National Park Service’s commitment to increasing the employment of veterans within the workforce, veterans interested in the seasonal employment opportunities listed below are encouraged to attend one or more of these job fairs.

Group Superintendent John Slaughter said in statement, "We are proud to coordinate these employment opportunities at our amazing National Park Service Revolutionary War Battlefields to connect our first veterans and today's veterans in their shared heritage of service to our nation."

Cowpens National Battlefield will host on Tuesday, May 2 from 4-7 pm in the park visitor center which is located at 4001 Chesnee Highway, Gaffney, SC 29341. Kings Mountain National Military Park will host on Wednesday, May 3 from 4-7 pm in the park visitor center located at 2625 Park Road, Blacksburg, SC 29702. Ninety Six National Historic Site will host on Thursday, May 4 from 4-7 pm in the visitor center located at 1103 Highway 248, Ninety Six, SC 29666.

Available positions:

Seasonal WG-04 Laborer (Motor Vehicle Operator) at all three sites 

Seasonal GS-04 Park Guide at all three sites

Part-time WG-02 Custodial Worker at Kings Mountain National Military Park

1 year term (NTE 4 years) WG-05/06 Laborer at Kings Mountain National Military Park
