New River Gorge National River invites 2nd grade teachers to participate in a free workshop entitled, “Landforms and New River Gorge”. In 2017, second grade teachers and park staff developed this new unit of study that teaches about landforms, weathering and erosion using examples found in the New River Gorge. The unit of study meets the WV Educational Standards and aligns with what teachers are teaching in their classrooms. The goal of the workshop is to present and demonstrate the lesson plans available for teachers to use. This workshop is being offered at two different location for your convenience.
