Program Description Students explore the ecosystem concept. Students role play the parts of an ecosystem and work together to build a food chain, food web, or web of life. Students visualize how living things interact with each other and with the non-living parts of the ecosystem. A series of hands-on activities contributes to their effective learning. Available to schools in: Fayette, Greenbrier, Monroe, Nicholas, Raleigh & Summers counties Grade Level: 3rd Program Length: 1 hour Theme Each living thing is connected to other living and non-living parts of its environment. Instructional Objectives: 1. Name the living and non-living parts of an ecosystem 2. Describe how the living parts of an ecosystem are connected through a food chain or food web 3.
